Keys to Enchanting Extras at Walt Disney World

The Enchanting Extras collection includes a variety of extras from a personalized photo session to dessert parties or privately guided tours. Let’s talk about some of the options!

What are Enchanting Extras?

The Enchanting Extras collection at the Walt Disney World Resort is a list of experiences designed to personalize your vacation experience. There is something for everyone in this collection, from animal encounters to royal transformations and behind-the-scenes tours.

Enchanting Extras are activities or experiences that can be done both in and outside of the theme parks. There are options for those days that you plan to have a rest day. In addition, there are things to make your time in the theme parks more memorable.

Each experience is booked separately and there are different ways to do so depending on what you would like to do.

Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique

This experience is designed for children ages 3 – 12 who are looking for a royal transformation. Each child is met by one of the Fairy Godmother’s apprentices and taken into the salon for a magical experience where they choose their own hairstyle, makeup, and other accessories. There are several packages available to choose from. Options include the Knight Package, the Castle Package, and even a Disney Encanto Package.

The Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique experience is booked up to 60 days prior and a credit card guarantee is required to book. You do not need to choose your package at the time of booking, as you will pay in full on the day of the experience.

Savi’s Workshop & Droid Depot

Do you have a Star Wars fan in your travel party? There are two popular experiences at Disney’s Hollywood Studios that are a must! Build your own lightsaber or your own droid in Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge and take it home with you!

At Droid Depot, you arrive at a workshop filled with all of the parts to create your own version of the galaxy’s most incredible sidekick! Start at the Parts Station, where you choose from a variety of components rolling by on the shop’s conveyor belt. These parts include pieces from both the BB-Series and the R-Series. At the Build Station, follow the instructions to assemble your droid. Once you are finished, it will be paired with a remote control and activated! There are various accessories available for an additional charge. It is recommended the builders be at least 3 years of age or older.

At Savi’s Workshop, you are escorted into the secret workshop to create your very own lightsaber and then bring it to life with kyber crystals! Before entering, choose from one of four different themes for your hilt: Peace and Justice, Power and Control, Elemental Nature, or Protection and Defense. Then, select the color of your lightsaber and begin building! The recommended age for this experience is 5 years of age or older.

These experiences are customized and appointments are highly recommended. Appointments can be made online starting at 60 days prior to arrival and a credit card guarantee is required. Payment is due upon arrival, prior to starting the experience.

Behind-the-Scenes Tours

At the Walt Disney World Resort, there are several experiences that take place behind the scenes and give guests the opportunity to have a sneak peek of how the magic works! There are often age requirements for these tours.

For example, Disney’s Keys to the Kingdom tour requires all guests to be at least 16 years of age or older. This tour takes guests backstage to learn about the secrets of the Magic Kingdom. Guests will learn about the classic attractions, trivia, and more throughout the 5-hour tour. There is even an opportunity to go into the “Utildor” tunnels. These tunnels are located under the park, allowing for unseen travel of people and supplies.

Another example of a behind-the-scenes tour is the Wild Africa Trek at Disney’s Animal Kingdom. On this amazing tour, learn about the animals of the African savanna as you cross a rope bridge, walk through the grasslands, and ride in a safari vehicle. Then, enjoy some delicious African-inspired snacks to end your tour. This tour is designed for guests 8 years of age and older.

Over at EPCOT, many people do not know about the behind-the-scenes tours that include animal interactions! For example, the EPCOT Seas Adventures – Dolphins in Depth tour allows guests to interact with the bottlenose dolphins living in the Seas Pavilion at EPCOT.

VIP Tours

A Disney VIP Tour offers a private, and fully customized, theme park experience! Your VIP Tour Guide will take you and your group of up to 10 guests on an unforgettable adventure through your choice of Disney theme parks. Start with a private pick-up at your Disney resort hotel and then let your guide know what you want to do! The tour includes access to a variety of attractions and experiences via the Lightning Lane entrances.

This tour is an amazing way to do everything on your wish list at the Disney theme parks without any worries about long wait times or booking your attractions. Pre-planning services are included and once you arrive, you get to relax and make those magical memories!

Capture Your Moment Photo Sessions

Do you want to capture some of the amazing moments of your Disney vacation to keep forever? A Capture Your Moment photo session is the perfect way to do it! Photo sessions are available in all four theme parks. There are a variety of locations to choose from in each park and you can even book back-to-back sessions for more time!

If you purchase the Memory Maker as a part of your Disney vacation package, the photos that are taken during the session are included!

Dessert Parties

Do you love the nighttime shows at the Walt Disney World Resort? A dessert party is the perfect way to enjoy one of these shows with a spectacular view and some delicious bites before or after the show. Currently, there are parties available at the Magic Kingdom. Choose from three different options to enjoy the fireworks:

• Seats & Sweets: Go to the Tomorrowland Terrace restaurant for the event and enjoy reserved seating while you watch the fireworks spectacular!
• Pre-Party: Head to the Tomorrowland Terrace to enjoy your choice of desserts and then enjoy a wonderful view of the fireworks show from the Plaza Garden Viewing area.
• Post-Party: Watch the fireworks first from the Plaza Garden viewing area and then enjoy your choice of desserts and beverages at the post-party at the Tomorrowland Terrace.

In addition, there is a great dessert party option located outside of the park. Ferrytale Fireworks: A Sparkling Dessert Cruise sets sail from the Ticket and Transportation Center. Enjoy a fun-filled night on the Seven Seas Lagoon aboard one of Disney’s iconic ferryboats! Guests have their choice of delicious desserts and beverages while enjoying a stunning view of the fireworks at the Magic Kingdom.

Beyond the Theme Parks

Are you planning to spend some time outside of the theme parks during your visit to the Walt Disney World Resort? That’s great news because there is so much to see and do beyond the theme parks too!
