When you visit the Walt Disney World Resort, it makes sense to take ALL the photos! Luckily Disney PhotoPass is a great service to allow you to do just that. Plus, when you purchase the Memory Maker, you can bring all of those photos home with you! This is your complete guide to using Disney PhotoPass and Memory Maker at the Walt Disney World Resort.
What is Disney PhotoPass?
The Disney PhotoPass is a service offered at no cost throughout the Walt Disney World Resort. As you explore the parks and even Disney Springs, you will see Disney PhotoPass photographers. They are always wearing a brown vest, ready to take your photo. The photos are visible in the My Disney Experience mobile app shortly after they are taken.
Disney PhotoPass photographers are found throughout all four theme parks and at Disney Springs. You may also find them at some of the resort hotels.
Once you approach the photographer, you will need to do one of three things. If you have a magic band, it will be scanned prior to taking your photo. Alternatively, you can use a Disney PhotoPass card and link the photos to your account, or scan your mobile device.
What is the Memory Maker?
The Memory Maker is a great add-on to your vacation package that gives you access to all of your photos taken throughout your vacation. There are a few options available for purchase. If you want the Memory Maker for just one day, you can purchase it in the park when you arrive.
Alternatively, you can add it to any vacation package for $169 + tax if purchased at least 3 days in advance or for $199 + tax if purchased once you arrive.
Since there are so many photographers throughout the parks, there are plenty of opportunities to get photos with your whole travel party. However, if you find that you have a favorite spot, you can always go back and get more! You will receive all the photographs taken during your visit and there is no limit on the number of photos included.
Memory Maker is a great value because you can share, download, and even print all of your photos. You can purchase prints and photo products through the PhotoPass website or you can use the copyright release to do so from your preferred online or local photo service once you return home.

Disney is known for creating magical moments! Your photos are no exception! Magic Shots are photographs taken with a bit of animated magic added in. The photographer asks you to pose in certain ways so that this “magic” can happen. You can request these at all locations and there are often new ones available! Furthermore, new options are often added seasonally and at special events.
Again, it may take a little longer to see them pop up in your PhotoPass account but it’s definitely worth it! Whatever you do, don’t forget to ask for those Magic Shots!
Disney PhotoPass is one more way to ensure that you have a great vacation experience at the Walt Disney World Resort! It’s as simple as finding one of the many Disney PhotoPass photographers and saying “cheese!”
When you purchase the Memory Maker, you are prepaying for all of the photos taken on your vacation. What a great value to ensure that you can capture ALL of your magical memories to share with your whole travel party!
