The Walt Disney World Resort is always a popular destination if you are planning a family vacation. However, it’s also a great option for a trip with your sweetie! Let’s talk about Walt Disney World for couples!

The short answer to this question is – why not? The Walt Disney World Resort is a destination for guests of all ages. There is something for everyone at the parks, throughout the resort, and even beyond!
You do not have to be a diehard “Disney Adult” to enjoy a vacation here. If you enjoy theme parks, experiencing different attractions, a lot of different food options, and the Disney atmosphere, this may be the perfect option.
The Walt Disney World Resort is a good option for a honeymoon or getaway because it’s easy to get to. You may find direct flights, traveling to Orlando does not require a passport, and there are options for every budget too.
Whether you want to get married here, are looking to plan the perfect honeymoon, or just want to get away with your sweetie, Walt Disney World has a lot to offer.
Is It Fun Without the Kids?

The Walt Disney World Resort is a popular vacation destination for families! Many families dream of taking their little ones to Disney, where they will hug Mickey Mouse for the first time, meet their favorite princess, and ride beloved attractions. It’s an unforgettable experience that you will no doubt love!
However, did you know that Walt Disney World is also fun without your kids? Yes, I’m telling you that you can have fun there without your children! This also applies if you do not have children.
It is a different, yet equally amazing, experience visiting the parks without children. You may consider doing different things that you would not typically do if you were traveling with kids. For example, there are several wonderful signature dining experiences. There are some wonderful bars and lounges too. In addition, there are entertainment options, such as shows, that you may not think of attending with the kids.
Although most things at the Walt Disney World Resort are kid-friendly, it’s always great to experience different things, from a different perspective.
As a mom of four, I love bringing my kids to the parks and making those memories. However, I also love heading to the parks with my husband. We spent our honeymoon at the Walt Disney World Resort and still try to visit without the kids fifteen years later!
Reasons to Plan Your Getaway
Are you celebrating something in your relationship? The Walt Disney World Resort is a great destination if you are planning a honeymoon, or anniversary trip, or just need a getaway with your sweetie! There are several reasons to start planning your trip!
Save Money…But Also Splurge
If you go without the kids, you will save money. You don’t have to find accommodations or meals for the whole family, you will save on airfare if you are flying, and you don’t have to worry about souvenirs for the whole family.
Therefore, why not splurge? If it’s just you and your partner, why not stay in that deluxe resort? You could also enjoy some signature dining experiences that you may not typically choose when traveling with the kids. If you don’t have kids or are going on your honeymoon, there are many restaurants that are perfect for a romantic experience. Why not enjoy the ultimate Disney date night?
Less Planning
Now don’t get me wrong here. I love the planning aspects of a Walt Disney World vacation and there are things that typically need to be planned. However, there is much less to do if you are going with a partner or significant other versus children, especially young children.
You do not need to worry about the stroller, extra clothes, snacks, etc. that you would likely be bringing with you with the kids. In addition, there is no nap time or scheduled mealtime, unless you want dining reservations or feel like a nap!
You can also head to the parks early for rope drop, plan to stay out late, or do both! There is truly so much flexibility in your vacation experience.
Special Experiences

I already mentioned the signature dining experiences to make your trip special. Did you know that there are many other special experiences available to add some romance or special memories?
For example, enjoy one of Disney’s behind-the-scenes tours or even a VIP tour. There are dessert parties available at the Magic Kingdom too. If you would prefer a more active experience, consider horseback riding at Disney’s Fort Wilderness Resort & Campground or a ride on an all-terrain vehicle! For added relaxation, book a spa treatment with a couples massage.
If you are looking to capture some special memories during your vacation, consider a Capture Your Moment photo session at one of the four theme parks.

As mentioned above, there are many activities for the whole family at the Walt Disney World Resort. However, you don’t want to miss out on the nightlife or activities that are designed specifically for adults either.
At Disney Springs, there is an active nightlife every single night! From bars and lounges to shows, there is plenty to do well after the parks close for the evening. In addition, there are lounges at most Disney resorts as well and some offer entertainment such as live music. Head on over to Jellyrolls at Disney’s BoardWalk for a great time at this piano bar, complete with dueling pianos and audience participation!
That’s not all though. There are specialty beverage tastings such as Sangria University or the La Cava Experience. Some of the tours in the theme parks have age requirements too. For example, the Keys to the Kingdom Tour is an amazing behind-the-scenes experience for ages 16 and older.

Enjoy time as a couple at the Walt Disney World Resort. Sometimes, whether you have kids or not, it’s hard to make time for that date night. There are plenty of ways to do that at the Walt Disney World Resort. Whether you prefer to scream on your favorite rollercoaster, try some new foods or a favorite beverage, or enjoy a new experience such as a tour, you will make memories and spend time together as a couple. There is no better place to do that than the Most Magical Place on Earth!
