These survival tips will hopefully assist you regardless of what stage of pregnancy you are in.
Packing for Walt Disney World During Pregnancy
When you are visiting the Walt Disney World Resort during pregnancy, you may want to add a few extra items to your packing list. Here are a few things you may want to consider:
A Wedge Pillow
If you are using one of these for extra support while sleeping, you may miss it! You can also request additional pillows from the resort once you arrive.
A Maternity Support Belt
This can be a lifesaver for your back if you are doing a lot of walking. You can purchase one at your local maternity store or online.
Maternity Bathing Suit
Having some pool time is a lifesaver after a day at the theme parks. It’s the perfect way to rest your feet and relax
Comfortable shoes
This goes without saying, whether you are an expectant mother or not. However, it’s especially important to wear shoes that you know are worn and will be comfortable for a lot of walking.
Groceries:
Whether you are trying to ease nausea or have some strong cravings, consider ordering some groceries for your vacation. It’s wise to have snacks easily accessible. Groceries can be delivered right to your Walt Disney World Resort hotel. You are permitted to take food into the parks too! It’s wise to have snacks easily accessible. Top Recommendations: Ginger ale and pretzels or other quick snacks
Water Bottle
It’s so important to stay hydrated at the theme parks. This is especially the case while pregnant. Make sure that you pack either a reusable water bottle or bottles of water. Pro Tip: Any quick-service restaurant will give you a cup of iced water too!
Battery Operated Fan
This is a game-changer for anyone, especially during the hot summer months. Having a battery-operated fan will help you stay cool as you walk through the parks or wait in lines.
Lotion
Let’s face it. Pregnant bellies can get itchy. Make sure you have lotion on hand to help!
Vitamins & Medicines
This is, of course, dependent on your individual circumstances. However, don’t forget those prenatal vitamins! If you have heartburn or morning sickness, bring the appropriate medications to keep yourself comfortable during your vacation.
Navigating the Parks

The best tip for navigating the parks is to go at your own pace. Don’t be afraid to slow down and take breaks as needed. Familiarize yourself with park maps so you know where the bathrooms are and where you may find a nice spot to sit for a bit if needed. You can always put your feet up and people-watch! This is especially the case later in pregnancy if you are dealing with swelling. If needed, consider renting a scooter at the parks, based on availability, or from a third party.
Attractions to Consider During Pregnancy
While some of your travel party may be eager to ride the thrill rides, you may be looking for things to do too. Luckily, there are plenty of options. Whether you want to relax and put your feet up or enjoy some classics, there are choices in each park. Please note, it’s best to consult with your physician and use your own judgment when deciding what attractions to ride during pregnancy.

Making Special Memories

Are you looking to create some extra special memories during your trip? Maybe it is a babymoon with your significant other or you want to do a gender reveal. Maybe you are looking for ways to announce your pregnancy!
Cast members at the Walt Disney World Resort are often willing to help you create those special memories.
One of the best ways to do this is by working with a Disney PhotoPass photographer!
Memory Maker
It’s highly recommended to purchase Memory Maker as a part of your vacation package. With Memory Maker, you are essentially pre-purchasing all of the photos taken during your vacation. You will be able to download and share these as you want. Disney PhotoPass photographers can be found in all four theme parks, as well as at the Photo Studio at Disney Springs.
Stop at the location of your choice and get a special photo taken!
Capture Your Moment Photo Session
If you prefer to have an individualized experience rather than just stopping throughout the day, a Capture Your Moment photo session is a great solution. These photo sessions include one-on-one time with two Disney PhotoPass photographers in any of the four theme parks. There is an additional cost for each session. However, if you purchase the Memory Maker, all of your photos taken during the session are included.
The photographers will work with you to create special photos if you are looking to announce your pregnancy, the gender of your child, or just capture some special moments during your trip! These photo sessions are VERY popular and can be booked up to 60 days prior to your visit.
Special Souvenirs
Why not buy some Mickey Mouse ears for your little one? A Cast Member can even embroider a name on the ears for you.
A few other suggestions for special souvenirs include Baby’s First Mickey or Minnie Mouse or a cute outfit. Look for these items in any of the stores at the theme parks or at World of Disney in Disney Springs.
