Disney’s Yacht & Beach Club Resorts
Stormalong Bay is not just a pool, it is more like a village, and it is one of the very best pools at the Walt Disney World Resort. This pool is shared between Disney’s Beach Club Resort and Disney’s Yacht Club Resort in the EPCOT area.
This pool area encompasses 3 acres and is filled with aquatic fun! From the enormous sand-bottomed pool to the lazy river, it is a wonderland where you can spend the day feeling like you are at the beach. Then, head to the life-sized shipwreck to enjoy one of the highest hotel waterslides at the Walt Disney World Resort. It’s also easy to escape and relax in one of the three whirlpool spas.
Kids will love wading into the main pool, complete with a sandy beach area. Alternatively, they can enjoy the Shipwreck pool, which includes a miniature waterslide.

Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort
The main pool at Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort is called the Lava Pool. This pool is recently renovated and features an iconic volcano. It also has a newly expanded deck and a waterslide that is 142 feet long! It’s easy to swim all around the volcano and enjoy beautiful views along the way!
Little ones will love that this pool is like sitting by the beach. It offers a gentle slope and zero-depth entry, making it easy for guests of all ages to enjoy the water! Plus, there is a lounge and bar nearby, offering drinks and snacks throughout the day.
Disney’s Animal Kingdom Villas – Kidani Village
The Samawati Springs pool is located at Disney’s Animal Kingdom Villas – Kidani Village. This pool has zero-depth entry and a 128-foot waterslide for guests to enjoy. There is also a lounge nearby, serving drinks and snacks.
This pool is very popular with children because it includes the Uwanja Camp, a water playground designed for kids of all ages. This area has 3 different zones, allowing even the youngest of children to engage in water play. There is the Observation Station for children 4 years of age and younger. The Departure Zone includes a water tower and African flowers that may surprise you with a squirt. This area is designed for children ages 5 to 7 years old. The Base Camp is for children 8 years of age and older and gives them the opportunity to have a blast with water cannons!
Disney’s Coronado Springs Resort
The pool complex at Disney’s Coronado Springs Resort is know as the Dig Site. This pool area has a Mayan ruins theme features a 50-foot pyramid at its center. There is also a 123-foot-long waterslide. In addition, this pool area has the largest hot tub at the Walt Disney World Resort.
In addition to the pool and hot tub, the Dig Site features poolside activities, a sand volleyball court, a playground area, and the Iguana Arcade.
Disney’s Art of Animation Resort
The main pool at Disney’s Art of Animation Resort, the Big Blue Pool, is the largest at the Walt Disney World Resort. Known as the Big Blue Pool, it is inspired by the Disney/Pixar moving Finding Nemo. This zero-entry pool is huge and features giant statues of all the movie’s characters including Nemo, Crush, and more.
For even more water play, children will love visiting the Schoolyard Sprayground. This water playground features pop-up jets, gushing water, and more familiar friends from the movie!
