Disney’s Coronado Springs Resort opened in 1997 and features 2,416 guest rooms. The grounds are quite large, and the resort surrounds the 22-acre lake, Lago Dorado. There is also a convention center, suited perfectly for a variety of events. The Gran Destino Tower was completed in 2019, adding a luxurious feel to the resort. The main lobby was moved to this building and there are beautiful new rooms, including club-level options. The resort is a great choice because it has a deluxe feel for moderate-level pricing.

Three Bridges Bar & Grill at Villa del Lago
Dine at the center of Lago Dorado as you take in sweeping views of the resort. The menu includes appetizers that are perfect for sharing or full entrees with a unique twist. The bar also features a large variety of cocktails and signature sangria pitchers.
Rix Sports Bar & Grill
If you are looking for a place to watch a big game, this is the spot to be! The menu includes classic bar food, draft beers, and cocktails. The best part of this upscale sports bar is the 31 TVs to watch sporting events. It’s the perfect spot to relax and cheer on your favorite team!
Dahlia Lounge
This lounge is located on the rooftop of the Gran Destino Tower and features beautiful décor inspired by Spanish modernism.
Barcelona Lounge
This lounge is located in the lower lobby of the Gran Destino Tower, with a beautiful view of Lago Dorado. Choose from many different beverages, whether you are looking for coffee, a signature cocktail, or wines. You may also opt to start your day with a pastry and an espresso drink.
Siestas Cantina
This poolside bar features specialty cocktails and a great place to grab a bite with your choice of sandwiches, burgers, or nachos.
Maya Grill
This restaurant is the place to be to enjoy traditional Mexican cuisine. The whole dining experience is the very essence of Mexico, with the dining room featuring elements of the Mayan culture. Enjoy a variety of tasty platters and chef’s specialties with Southwestern flavors.
Café Rix
This quick-service location is the perfect spot to grab breakfast on your way to the parks. Choose from specialty coffees or smoothies, along with pastries, yogurts, and sweets.
El Mercado de Coronado
This dining spot features many grab-and-go options for breakfast, lunch, and dinner with cafeteria-style seating available. Options include sandwiches, flatbreads, and even freshly tossed pasta dishes.
Laguna Bar
Enjoy the tropical vibes and relaxing atmosphere as you sip on a handcrafted cocktail from this tequila and mezcal bar.
Sangria University
This unique dining experience is available for guests aged 21 and older to book. The experience is held on select days and is approximately 90 minutes long. Guests have the opportunity to learn about the history and taste 4 different kinds of Sangria, served at Three Bridges Bar & Grill. There will also be a light appetizer served. The cost is $59 per person and advance reservations are required.
Pools, Grounds, & Recreation
Pools
The Dig Site is the main pool area at Disney’s Coronado Springs Resort. The Lost City of Cibola pool features a Mayan ruins theme with a 50-foot pyramid at the center. There is a 123-foot-long waterslide that includes a spitting Jaguar spirit animal guaranteed to make it a wild ride!
The Dig Site includes the largest hot tub at the Walt Disney World Resort, with room for 22 guests. There is also a kiddie pool for younger guests. Check with a recreation host to find out about the daily family-friendly activities available at the pool. These may include games or themed pool parties.
At each of the “settlements”, guests can enjoy one of the leisure pools. Head to the Casitas, Ranchos, or Cabanas areas to jump in and cool down or just lounge poolside.
Iguana Arcade
Enjoy video games, pinball, air hockey, and more at this arcade located next to the Dig Site. The arcade is open daily. Purchase your game card using cash or credit card and then refill it as you please to use at any of the other Walt Disney World Resort arcades.
Movies Under the Stars
After a day at the parks, enjoy complimentary movie screenings under the stars. These screenings are located near the Lost City of Cibola pool. Check with the front desk for a schedule.
Volleyball
This white-sand court is near the Dig Site. Volleyballs can be checked out from the Siestas Cantina.
Jogging Trail
Enjoy a walk or run along the .9 mile trail that surrounds the 22-acre Lago Dorado.
Playground
Located near the Dig Site, this playground has an archeological theme and allows kids to climb, slide, and play.
Colors of Coronado Painting Experience
Guests can get in touch with their artistic side at this master-led painting class. The class takes place every Friday from 1:00 – 3:00 pm at Toledo – Tapas, Steak & Seafood. Registration begins at 12:45 pm. The price is $35 per person, plus tax.

Spanish Mosaic Art
Head to the Barcelona Lounge every Wednesday and Saturday to enjoy this Spanish art tradition. Guests create their own mosaic with a bit of a Disney touch! The event runs from 1:00-3:00 pm and check-in begins at 12:45 pm.
The price is $25 per person, plus tax, and this experience is recommended for guests who are 12 years of age or older.

Parking
*Guests who drive either their own vehicle or a rental car to Walt Disney World should know that a standard overnight self-parking fee of $20 per night will be applied to the guest hotel folio upon check-out. Valet parking is available for $33 per night. Complimentary standard self-parking is available while you enjoy select dining, shopping, entertainment, and recreation experiences at this resort.
