Disney is launching a new pilot program in the coming weeks to expand the Lightning Lane pass options available to guests. The new Lightning Lane Premier Pass will offer a new level of flexibility in planning your Disney parks vacation. With the addition of this new tier of pass, there will be a Lightning Lane option to fit every budget and vacation. The Premier Pass will work a little differently at Walt Disney World Resort than at Disneyland and Disney California Adventure, so read on for all the details!
What is Lightning Lane Premier Pass?
The new Lightning Lane Premier Pass will be offered in very limited quantities and will give guests one-time entry to each available Lightning Lane entrance in the theme park they are visiting that day. This includes attractions included in both Lightning Lane Multi Pass and Single Pass, but with Lighting Lane Premier Pass, there’s no need to select the time for your experience, or do any advanced planning. With Premier Pass, you can just go to the parks and enjoy your day, without having to worry about when – or if – you can get on your favorite attractions!

At Walt Disney World, when Lightning Lane Premier Pass launches, it will be available to guests staying at Disney Deluxe or Deluxe Villa Resorts, Walt Disney World Swan and Dolphin resorts, and Shades of Green resort for members of the military. The Premier Pass may be purchased up to seven days in advance of their stay. It will only be valid for use in one park of the guest’s choice per day. The first date it will be available is October 30, 2024.
Purchasing the Premier Pass will work the same as Lightning Lane Multi and Single Pass, up to 7 days in advance of your visit through the Disney World app, and includes downloads of attraction photos through Disney’s PhotoPass service for the day.

Premier Pass at Disneyland
At Disneyland Resort, Lightning Lane Premier Pass will be available to all guests on a first come, first served beginning two days in advance of a theme park reservation and will be valid for use in both theme parks. The first date it will be available is October 23, 2024.
Just like at Walt Disney World, the Premier Pass may be purchased in advance through the Disneyland app. Guests with Premier Pass will receive downloads of all PhotoPass photos, from attractions as well as in-park photographers, for the day.
