The Disney Cruise Line Fleet
Currently, there are five ships in the Disney Cruise Line fleet. Each ship is a little bit different and if you cruise on different ones, you are bound to have a favorite!
The Disney Wish is the most recent addition to the fleet, having set sail for the first time in 2022. This ship is currently sailing from Port Canaveral, Florida, and offers shorter itineraries to the Bahamas.
The Disney Fantasy also sails from Port Canaveral, Florida, and has longer itineraries to the Caribbean. Many of these itineraries include a stop at the private island, Disney’s Castaway Cay. The Disney Dream is the sister ship to the Fantasy. This ship sails at different ports depending on the time of year. This year, it has itineraries from Europe and Miami, Florida.
The Disney Magic also sails from different ports depending on the time of the year. These ports include Galveston, Texas, Miami, Florida, and New Orleans, Louisiana. The Disney Wonder is the Magic’s sister ship and sails from Vancouver, British Columbia to Alaska or San Diego, California to Baja Mexico.

Destinations
With five different ships in the fleet, there are some amazing itineraries with incredible destinations to choose from. Whether you prefer the warmth of the Caribbean or a great adventure in Alaska, there is an incredible destination and itinerary for you to start planning your next cruise vacation. In addition, exciting things are coming including a new private island in the Bahamas called Lighthouse Point, a new ship, and new itineraries.
The Disney Cruise Experience
The Disney cruise vacation experience is truly like no other! There are many reasons to love Disney Cruise Line but there are also several things that set it apart from other cruise lines. It’s often referred to as the “Disney Difference” and that is completely accurate!
The Staterooms
The staterooms onboard the Disney Cruise ships are built for families. Guests choose from three different types of staterooms including inside, oceanview, or oceanview with verandah. Many of these staterooms include the split bathroom option, which makes getting ready easier. Some staterooms also hold up to 5 guests.
Holding 5 guests doesn’t mean that there’s no space! There is plenty of storage in the staterooms, including space under the bed for your suitcases! Plus, the beds fold down at night but during the day, they are tucked away so you still have room to relax!
Rotational Dining
Disney Cruise Line is known for its incredible dining experiences! On each ship, there are three main dining restaurants and guests participate in rotational dining throughout their voyage. When you board the ship, check the Disney Cruise Line Navigator app to see when you are eating at each restaurant. You will be scheduled at each one at least once. The best thing about rotational dining is that you get to change venues but the dining team you meet the first night moves with you each night. They get to know you and vice versa. That also means that they get to know your preferences, can make recommendations, and have even more opportunities to bring smiles and excellent service!
Onboard Experiences
Depending on the length of your sailing, you will likely have at least one day at sea. Don’t worry though – you will not be bored! From the moment you board the ship, incredible onboard experiences are waiting for you! The Disney Cruise Line Navigator app is your guide for everything happening onboard the ship. Sort the activities by your interest and make sure you mark your favorites! Then, you can revisit your plans each day. A few things to look for include:

The Perfect Vacation for All Ages
Are you thinking that a Disney cruise is the perfect vacation for families with young kids? You’re absolutely right! However, a Disney cruise is also great for families with teenagers, couples, or friends traveling together. The truth is, a Disney cruise is the perfect cruise for all ages! There is something onboard for everyone and it’s the perfect time to plan your first, or next sailing!
Kids’ Clubs
If you are traveling with kids of any age, they will love the kids’ clubs. Kids’ clubs are available for children over the age of 3 through the teenage years. The kids are separated by age and there are three different options depending on how old the child is. The clubs are as follows:
- Disney’s Oceaneer Club & Disney’s Oceaneer Lab (ages 3 – 12)
- Edge (ages 11 – 14)
- Vibe (ages 14 – 17)
Each kids’ club offers a variety of activities for guests of all abilities and interests. It’s a great place for kids to go and meet new friends too, especially if parents want to go to some of the adult-only activities.
In addition to the kids’ clubs, there is a nursery for children under the age of 3. This is a paid service and reservations may be required.
Adult-Only Experiences
There are many areas on each of the Disney Cruise Line ships that are for adults only. Each ship has different lounges with entertainment, as well as an adults-only pool area. The Senses Spa is also reserved for adults only.
If you are looking for a special dining experience, there are two adult-only dining experiences on each ship. These restaurants require reservations and have a dress code to maintain an elegant vibe.
Family Time
One of the best parts of a family vacation is making memories as a family. Luckily, there are plenty of opportunities to do so! Don’t miss the Broadway-style shows, the pool deck with waterslides, or opportunities to hug your favorite Disney friends! There are also some fun activities throughout the day such as crafts or trivia designed for the whole family. There are also deck parties and Fireworks at Sea, which are only offered by Disney Cruise Line!
