Christmas in Cars Land

Christmas + Disneyland + the movie “Cars.” Equals the perfect vacation!

Cars Land opened in 2012 in Disney’s California Adventure Park. Since the beginning, Radiator Springs has gotten a Christmas makeover starting in early November.  I have been so fortunate to take a trip down Route 66 on different years during Christmas. One of those years I got an early morning sneak peek into Cars Land. Let’s take a tour and see all of the fun ways the residents of Cars Land celebrate Christmas!

Welcome to Radiator Springs!

We will start our holiday tour walking down Route 66! Love the tire garland!

On your left:

Mater’s Jingle Jamboree

Let’s take a holly jolly spin on Mater’s Jingle Jamboree!

After you exit the ride make sure to check out the festive tire Christmas tree and stop in the petting zoo.

Continue down Route 66 and on the left let’s go get Cozy at the Cone!

Cozy Cone Motel

There are 5 Cones to choose from to get a tasty treat! My daughter’s favorite is the churros with chocolate dipping sauce! Yummy!

Lightning McQueen, Mater, and Red stop by the Cone for photo opportunities! So make sure to stick around.

I’m ready to do some shopping! Lucky for us Lizzie’s shop is right next door!

Radiator Winter Curios 

Along the way make sure to look around and enjoy the details that Disney includes! I love that the flowers are tail lights!

Luigi’s Joy to the Whirl

I’m ready for another ride! First, check out this awesome leaning tower of tires!

Next, enter Luigi’s Casa Della Tires shop and make your way to the cars. Here you get to dance around with Luigi’s friends and family.

Time for a break! Check out the Christmas tree decked out with hubcaps and take a picture with Stanley! My daughter was not having it this day, haha! I’ll show her this when she is an adult!

Are you ready to race? Turn to your right and let’s ride!

Radiator Springs Racers

First, we start with a nice calm ride through the mountains where you are treated to a beautiful waterfall. Then head back into town and get ready to race!

After that crazy fun ride, it’s time to head back up Route 66.

Let’s take a walk through Ramones and do some more shopping!

Ramone’s House of Body Art

Ramone’s is where my son received his most treasured souvenir, a replica of the car from Radiator Springs Racers. Also, make sure to check out the Motorama Girls t-shirts. If you’re not familiar, the Motorama Girls was a singing group where Flo was the lead singer.  You can check out the Motorama Girls’ hit records next-door at Flo’s V8 Cafe!

But before you go, make sure to turn around and snap a gorgeous shot of the courthouse/firehouse. 

If you walk down the side street between Ramone’s and Flo’s you are treated with an expansive view of the Ornament Valley Range including the Cadillac Mountain Range. This is a perfect place to stop and take photos! Also, if you eat at Flo’s V8 Cafe, sit on the back patio for this view and to watch the cars racing on the Radiator Spring Racers ride.

Speaking of Flo’s V8 Cafe, I’m getting hungry! My kids love Mack’s Mac & Cheese! Don’t forget to check out the view from the back patio!

Ready for a pit stop? The bathrooms are located on your left between Flo’s V8 Cafe and Sarge’s Surplus Hut. There are also a lot of benches to have a seat and people watch.

Next up is Sarge’s Surplus Hut. I love this shop because they have a glass case with a model of Car’s Land. You can buy all of the pieces and recreate Radiator Springs at home!

Fillmore’s Taste-in

Before you mosey on out of Radiator Springs stop by Fillmore’s Taste-in for a snack on the go.
