Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort and Spa
AGENT NAME: Shannon Ewing
YOUR FAVORITE RESORT: Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa
WHO WOULD YOU RECOMMEND THIS RESORT FOR? Adults and Families with older children, especially those who primarily want to spend time at the Magic Kingdom®.
WHY DO YOU LOVE THIS RESORT? Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa
is the most beautiful and luxurious resort in all of Disney World! Every aspect of this resort makes me feel like a Princess. This resort is just a boat or monorail ride away from the Magic Kingdom® and you can see the fireworks from the beach here! There are also quite a few fantastic restaurants here that offer a wide variety for everyone.
WHAT SHOULD SOMEONE STAYING AT THIS RESORT MAKE SURE NOT TO MISS? When staying at the Grand Floridian there are two things not to be missed: the Spa and Richard. The spa is the most relaxing place I have ever been! They offer many different treatments for whatever it is that you need. Richard is the greeter at Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa. He has been working here for many many years and is just the sweetest cast member around. Make sure to stop and say hello!
Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort
AGENT NAME: Julie Mills
YOUR FAVORITE RESORT: Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort
WHO WOULD YOU RECOMMEND THIS RESORT FOR? All ages! Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort is perfect for families with children due to the proximity to Magic Kingdom® and the convenient transportation options, but it’s also a great spot for couples looking to relax and enjoy the laid-back feel of the resort.
WHY DO YOU LOVE THIS RESORT? There are so many things I love about the Polynesian! This resort has a warm, welcoming atmosphere! Upon arriving, guests will notice the most amazing fragrance in the lobby and you immediately feel at home. The Cast Members greet you with “Aloha” and cover you in a lei. I love that you can look straight ahead through the lobby and get your first glimpse of Cinderella Castle. The Polynesian also has excellent food options: from Capt’n Cooks quick service restaurant to ‘Ohana where you can meet Lilo and Stitch and friends at a family-style breakfast, Trader Sam’s and Kona Café, there are plenty of options to please everyone. One thing the Polynesian does not lack in is recreational activities. The 2 pools and kids splash area are fun for all kids big and small. Watching the fireworks from one of the 2 beaches at the resort is a way to escape the crowds of the park and unwind after a busy park day.
WHAT SHOULD SOMEONE STAYING AT THIS RESORT MAKE SURE NOT TO MISS? Make sure to get a dole whip from Pineapple Lanai or a Lapu Lapu (specialty alcoholic beverage served in a pineapple) and sit up at Sunset Point to enjoy the view and the breeze.
Disney’s Yacht Club Resort
AGENT NAME: Nicole Newgas
YOUR FAVORITE RESORT: Disney’s Yacht Club Resort
WHO WOULD YOU RECOMMEND THIS RESORT FOR? I would recommend Disney’s Yacht Club Resort those wanting to stay at a resort with fewer children, anyone wanting to stay within walking distance of Epcot® and Disney’s Hollywood Studios®, and those with children wanting to use the fabulous pool shared between Disney’s Yacht & Beach Club Resorts, but prefer a slightly calmer environment.
WHY DO YOU LOVE THIS RESORT? One word – LOCATION! Dinner at Epcot®’s World Showcase is a short walk or boat ride away. Also, if you have children who are still in strollers, the location is a great choice! Children can stay in their stroller during the boat ride to both Epcot® and Disney’s Hollywood Studios®, or you can just walk. If you would like to go to Magic Kingdom® have a Hopper Pass, and do not want to take a bus, you can enter Epcot® through the International Gateway and walk to the front of the park. Once you get to the front, you can take a Monorail to the Magic Kingdom®. (You will have to switch Monorail lines, but once again there is no loading and unloading of kids and strollers off of a bus!) The only park that cannot be completely accessed without removing children from their strollers is Disney’s Animal Kingdom®.
WHAT SHOULD SOMEONE STAYING AT THIS RESORT MAKE SURE NOT TO MISS? The one thing that someone staying at this resort should make sure to not miss is Stormalong Bay. Stormalong Bay is the 3-acre water park area that is shared with Disney’s Beach Club Resort. There is a water slide made from a life-size ship wreck replica, a lazy river, and multiple spas. There is also a miniature slide for smaller children and a sand-bottom pool in which children can play with shovels and pails set out by the Resort. You can literally take a whole day to explore this massive area and keep yourselves occupied the entire time!
I often tell people that one of the greatest advantages of staying in a Deluxe Resort is the feeling you get when you walk in the lobby. After a full day in the parks, the relaxing atmosphere of the Deluxe resorts wipes all of that away and you can breathe a giant “ahhh.” You have arrived home! Enjoy the pools, dine in the wonderful restaurants and prepare for your next day at the Walt Disney World® Resort! Talk to your Key To The World Travel® agent about which deluxe resort is the right one for you! We promise you won’t regret spending a little extra to stay in one of these fabulous hotels!
