This fall marks the biggest celebration we have ever seen at the Walt Disney World Resort. Beginning October 1st an EARidescent celebration of epic proportions will take place. You’re not going to want to miss out on the celebration, and we are going to show you why!
Walt Disney World opened on October 1, 1971, and was Walt’s own personal project to expand his legacy from Disneyland, bringing his love of family, fun, and wholesome entertainment to the masses. On October 1st, 2021 the park will celebrate 50 years of magic at the resort with an epic party you won’t want to miss.
Disney announced the anniversary celebration will last 18 months and will run through March 2023! Throughout this incredible 18-month event, you’ll discover classic favorites and exciting adventures across The Most Magical Place on Earth.
Mickey & Minnie Will Sport a New Look
As you can see above, Mickey and Minnie will both have a whole new EARidescent look to match the theme of the celebration. From their gold shoes to their metallic-gold-trimmed outfits- they will embody the theme for the event!
All Four Parks Will Have A Complete Makeover
Magic Kingdom Will Sparkle Like You’ve Never Seen
Cinderella Castle illuminates the park with a dazzling glow that sparkles with pixie dust.
EPCOT Will Shine From Space
Lights shine from within Spaceship Earth’s reflective panels as stardust emerges to symbolize beacons of possibility and optimism.
Disney’s Hollywood Studios Will Glow & Glimmer
The iconic Hollywood Tower Hotel glitters with EARidescence, evoking the glimmer and shimmer of the golden age of imagination and adventure.
Disney’s Animal Kingdom Will Come to Life
A warm and glorious light emanates from the Tree of Life, as enchanted fireflies gather to call forth the magic of nature.
Fireworks Are Returning
Disney has just announced fireworks are returning on July 1st and that can only mean one thing, the 50th anniversary is going to be the most epic firework display we will ever see! Speaking of fireworks… Just in time for the 50th celebration, EPCOT will once again begin EPCOT Forever over World Showcase Lagoon on July 1st, highlighting the themes of innovation, exploration, imagination, and celebration at the core of the park’s past, present, and future. This makes way for HARMONIOUS, the new floating barge show, the opportunity to debut for the 50th.
Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure Will Open at EPCOT on October 1st
We will finally be able to join Chef Remy on a daring culinary caper that will captivate all your senses as you zip, dash and scurry in 4D through the bustling kitchen, dining room and walls of Gusteau’s famous Paris restaurant.
